Wednesday, day of Mercury

Wednesday is the day of Mercury and is good for spells to assist money-making ideas, clear communication, persuasion, versatility, improving memories, increasing logic, examinations and tests, for learning  especially new technology, short holidays, conventional healing (especially surgery) Wednesdays are also portent of business negotiations, dealing with debt, repelling spite, malice and deceit. It is for this reason that Mercury spells should always be used with a pure and honest intent. Wednesday is traditionally associated with divination and seeking answers.

Mercury hour spells are good for finding a quick way out of difficult or uncomfortable situations and for encouraging good will from others.

Archangel Raphael rules Mercury, and as such, Wednesday is Raphael’s day. He can be invoked for all health matters, spiritual knowledge or insight and to help alleviate daily worries. Raphael heals technological and chemical pollution as well as healing the negative effects of modern living. This Archangel responds to (yellow) Jasper and Clover in addition to the crystals and herbs listed above.

Crystal Starter Pack – The Pack

I have listed a few crystals below that I believe make up a basic starter pack. You do not need to purchase every crystal – look through the list and see what you would like. You can, of course, buy any combination of crystals and build on that as you go. If your interest is specifically in Chakras and crystals, then the list of starter crsytals would not  be the same. I will post a starter pack specifically for chakras. Read the rest of this entry »

Symbolism

The Concept of Symbolism

Symbolism is one of the foundations upon which all divination depends. Symbolism is the connection of personal and or spiritual meaning to a particular item or event. We all have a need and a tendency to externalise inner ideas, feelings and knowledge by attaching our mental connections to something external. In other words, we strive to understand our inner dimensions and the hidden qualities of life by giving external objects a meaning. This allows us to analyse and understand those inner qualities in a way that moves beyond the need for words. Read the rest of this entry »

Divination

A simple definition of divination is that “Divination is an attempt to foretell the future or to discover knowledge by interpreting omens or by using paranormal or supernatural powers”.

Many techniques have been used over the years and most readers will be familiar with the technique called pendulum dowsing. I recently found a list of divination techniques on the web, but cannot find my reference note so I’m not able to credit the source. Some of the other techniques (and there are some weird techniques) are: Read the rest of this entry »

Tarot Interpreted – What is Tarot?

Tarot is an ancient art of divination. Originally playing cards were used with the 4 suits of Diamonds, Hearts, Clubs and Spades eventually becoming the 4 suits of the Tarot – Pentacles, Cups, Wands and Swords.

I use Tarot and other cards such as angel cards, crystal cards and Kabalah cards as a tool and an aid while channelling. While the graphic representation of each card is important, higher guidance adds a depth to a reading that one simply cannot “pull out of a hat”. It is not necessary for me to have the Querant (person for whom the reading is done) actually touch the cards or be present. As the Reader I am merely a channel and I focus on the question(s) being asked. Read the rest of this entry »

Pendulum Dowsing

Pendulums have been used for centuries. They come in various shapes, materials and sizes. Like choosing a Tarot Deck, the choice of a pendulum is very personal.

A pendulum is simple enough to use and anyone can develop the art of dowsing with a pendulum. As an esoteric tool the pendulum is design to give direct YES and NO answers to a question.  Read the rest of this entry »
