The simplest way to explain this is to say that a Life Path Number is to Numerology what a starsign is to Astrology. The number is based on your date of birth and provides an elementary description of you. The life path number is one of four core numbers that more fully describes you and your life. It describes your journey through life and what you can best hope to accomplish.

The other three core numbers are: The Expression Number, The Heart’s Desire Number and the Birthday Number.

• The Expression Number is based on all the letters of your full name given to you at birth;
• The Heart’s Desire Number is based on a reduction of the vowels in your full birth name;
• The Birthday Number is based on a reduction of the consonants in your full birth name; and remember
• The Life Path Number is based on your date of birth.

Your Life Path Number is the sum of your entire birthday including the year. This number represents who you were when you came into this world and the extent of your physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional potential and limitations.

Your Life Path Number on its own does not constitute a full numerology analysis. Even a reading that consists of the four core Numbers is not a complete analysis as it only describes the most likely projected path when you are born. It does not consider special challenges and opportunities when you can use your free will to change what would otherwise be your fate.

How do you calculate your Life Path Number?

The Life Path Number is calculated from assigning a numeric value to your birthday. It is important to use all the numbers in your birth date, such as 23/05/2009 not shortened to 23/05/09.
